The Jezreel Valley Railway

About the Project

Within the framework of the bridge construction above the central station in Check Post and over the organized traffic lanes in Akko, Shapir carried out the work while maintaining normal traffic patterns and continuous vehicular movement below the road.

Addition work included:

• Construction of bridges spanning 3 km using complex methods.
• Establishment of railway embankments covering approximately 15 km.
• Construction of four consecutive railway bridges from the Piz Bridge area to Nesher, totaling approximately 1.5 km, including a passage over the Checkpost junction. A railway station section was also built in the heart of the bay area.
• Railroad tracks covering 5.4 km between Kibbutz Yagur and the Tishbi Junction, including earthworks, retaining walls, and various roadway structures.
• Railroad tracks passing over the Tishbi Junction and Tel Kishish, featuring a balanced casting method for a 400-meter bridge.
