The Knesset – Infrastructures
In 2001, the Shapir Group undertook the planning and construction of the Knesset expansion project. Upon completion, the operational phase commenced, under concession, for a duration of 25 years.
A project utilizing the PFI (Private Finance Initiative) method, involving planning, construction, and maintenance for a comprehensive period of 25 years. The project encompassed the construction of a multi-level underground parking facility covering an area of approximately 17,000 square meters adjacent to the existing residence.
Additionally, a new wing with an approximate area of 30,000 square meters was constructed, housing committee rooms, halls, chambers for Members of Knesset, and areas dedicated to environmental development.
From the conclusion of the construction phase to the present day, Shapir has been responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the facility.
