Ashdod Desalination Plant
In 2021, Shapir was awarded a tender to manage and upgrade a seawater desalination plant in Ashdod in partnership with the Bluegen Company.

In August 2022, Shapir initiated regular operation of the desalination plant; in addition to the construction and upgrading, it is conducted at the facility and is estimated to last approximately 18 months.
The Ashdod Desalination Plant has a maximum capacity of 140 million cubic meters and a concession to desalinate 100 million cubic meters of water per year.
