Road 6 North
An expansive undertaking encompassing the planning, construction, financing, operation, and maintenance of the Highway 6 section from the Yokneam area to the Somek interchange.
Initiated in 2015, the project entailed the construction of approximately 30 kilometers of roads, the establishment of 5 interchanges, the creation of 7 double bridges, and the excavation of 3 double tunnels spanning a total length of around 10 kilometers.
This intricate endeavor demanded the construction of large-scale interchanges along bustling roadways, detailed work in proximity to a railroad, and operations in areas of heightened environmental sensitivity, such as the Kishon River. Despite the challenges, Shapir successfully completed the project well ahead of the contractual deadline.
Traveling through the tunnel incurs a toll fee.
